Science Digest

The rise of mis-information and dis-information around animal agriculture including the food it produces has been identified by leading scientists internationally as an urgent issue.

There is a need to return to the use of rigorous, evidence-based scientific research as the basis for decision-making by all stakeholders, including government, industry and consumers, rather than simplification, reductionism or zealotry.

Science Digests presented by the Real Food Research Hub are produced to support and enable clear communication of sophisticated scientific content for a range of audiences including government, education, animal agriculture industry, consumers and other interested parties.

In a Science Digest, our expert team breaks down the content of a single research paper to clearly explain the significance of the work in language suitable for the benefit of non-scientists.

Some Science Digests will summarise a specific issue in science, and refer to a suite of research papers that provide evidence around the issue.
